Song inspiration of the day:

Maybellene (Chuck Berry)

As I was motivatin’ over the hill
I saw Maybellene in a Coupé de Ville
A Cadillac a-rollin on the open road
Nothin’ will outrun my V-8 Ford
The Cadillac doin’ ’bout 95
She bumper to bumper, rollin’ side by side
Maybellene, why can’t you be true?

The Seven Magic Mountains are seven sculptures, 30+ feet in height, using boulders  perfectly balanced, painted in bright neon colors, inspired by the hoodoos in nearby Bryce Canyon, and serve as a nod to the contrast of Big City Bright Lights Vegas located in the middle of a dusty desert.  At first glance, the seven Magic Mountains appear so out of place, NOT one with nature, and yes, that is exactly the point.  Contrasts can co-exist.  Bravo to artist Ugo Rondinone.

Next stop, Speed Vegas  — a race track open to the public for showcasing fast driving skills once you’ve signed the waivers. The Family was excited, positioning their race cars to be first in line, helmets on, seat belts locked in, poised  for the checkered flag to wave drivers onto the race track.  Meanwhile, Sloth waved down the friendly worker at the race track, inquiring if the car was equipped with a brake? And before that question could be answered, 15 drivers were set free onto the race course, and Sloth was on the track apparently without a brake.  The Family lapped Sloth several times before Sloth completed one lap, no one providing assistance to the brake-less beast, so eventually Sloth went with the flow, taking a scenic tour around the track, and if everyone else needs to pass, well UBU.  In the distance a man waved a checkered flag, ten laps was completed by the lead car,  The Family – specifically Bro and Hurry completed 8 laps for a silver medal tie of second place (no surprise there!), and Paddy took the bronze at 3rd while Sloth finished her two lap what’s-the-hurry tour in last place.  More contrasts, more co-existing!
